Greetings followers! Today we are featuring a dear friend of mine and newly titled “Barihunk” for our very first Man Crush Monday!  Meet one of my best friends, Boston based Baritone, Nathan Rodriguez!  He was recently featured in the popular blog BARIHUNKS® for his impressive fitness journey.  Nathan is an active singer in the Boston area with upcoming engagements that include John Brooke in MetroWest Opera’s production of Little Women, The Miller in OperaHub’s touring production of El Gato con Botas, and Mr. Lundquist in Nextdoor Theater’s production of Little Night Music. Nathan is certainly a Divo we will be keeping our ears AND eyes on. 😉  You can check out the studly article here! http://barihunks.blogspot.com/2016/02/introducing-bari-chunk-to-bari-hunk_26.html

Nathan and I met in our undergrad where we both studied vocal performance.  Some of my fondest memories from college were the frequent all-nighters we would pull in the music building’s faculty lounge we ever so skillfully learned how to break into after hours.  (Sorry mom if you are reading this!) We would attempt to complete the daunting amounts of school work we left until the last minute, but most of the time we would procrastinate, often searching old videos of great singers on Youtube.  Some of our favorites included:

Although we live in different cities now, we still keep in touch and often FaceTime serenade each other with new repertoire we are working on!

Keep up the great work Nathan, we are looking forward to your bright future, and hope to feature you on our “JACOPERA & Friends” concerts in the future!

Toodles,

Ana
